AUTOMERCADO
The best super market of Tamarindo :) Also the most expensive as you will find most of imported products, from the US, Canada and Europe.
Still, many prices for local goods are cheaper than the "Tico" grocery stores in the area.
The vegetables are greatly exhibit, the whole store is perfectly cleaned, and the service is very friendly and knowledgeable.
You can buy water in recyclable jar, and refill them there.
There is a little coffee inside the store with tables and chairs. Gives a great friendly atmosphere.

Vindi
Vindi is a supermarket located in the center of the village, very close to Plaza Tamarindo. It offers a large choice (for Costa Rica) of good quality products, beverages, cheeses, animal feed and fresh vegetables.
They also have a backery area and coffee machines.
Prices are pretty high, but the store is very convenient as he is open from
6am to 10:30pm.
They sell roasted chicken, available from 10am every day.

SUPERMARKET PURA VIDA
Super Pura Vida is a perfect proximity store. Medium size, first necessity goods. They do have a little section in the back to buy cheap flip flops, non-alimentary goods and charcoal (carbon in Spanish).
They also have large choice of medicine and beauty products.
The store is clean and the staff can seams rude, but they just don't speak English. Get prepared if you are looking for something special!

Super LAS OLAS
In front of Pico Bistro, this Super is accessible from the beach, easy to find, with a huge parking. They have a lot of Costa Rican products, like very good coffee and chocolates.
They also distribute the fresh bread from the french bakery Pan del Mundo! As well as pasteries, carrot cakes and nuts bread.
That where I found the cheapest coffee (700 colones).
